Hello! I am Aster, a character-based artist. I like creating illustrations with symbolism, movement, and ethereal feelings. 

Contract/Freelance:

I am currently open to remote contract/freelance work at any time or in-person in the United States starting January 2024. Please reach out with information on how to work with you!

Commissions:

You may always email me at asterartwork@gmail.com about commissions or with any other inquiries. Please avoid contacting me in DMs as they are less reliable for notifications. The form closes when I have a healthy workload of active orders and potential waitlist, and reopens based on completions. Openings are announced on my main social media (tumblr, twitter, my Patreon/Discord server, bsky).

Terms of Service

Sketch

• exclusively on Kofi for simple ordering

Digital Painting

• 35usd/hr
  
• integrating backgrounds, props, additional characters/figures can add to the final price. 
• turnaround is usually 2-8 weeks depending on workload
• Custom sizing up to 20x24in, 300 DPI. Pricing depends on character crop, detail, background, and deadlines. Multiple file formats, print proofs, and resolutions are provided if asked. 
• It is best to approach with an example of the type of painting style you would like, including the amount of detail or surrealism/roughness.  Lower detail/higher artistic freedom is available at lower pricing (see below: speedpaints) and is case-by-case.
  

Other

• book/album covers (digital or traditional media)/merchandise or any other commercial work - ask, may require contract depending on scale
• Flight Rising skins/accents - approach me on Flight Rising
• Acrylic on canvas/canvas board is only available to the continental USA unless you don't want it shipped to you. Working in traditional media demands different pricing structures due to raw materials ($40/hr standard).

Pricing and Ordering

• As stated above, adding characters and backgrounds adds to the final calculated price, especially for couples or groups of 2+, but rates vary by detail and style.
• Royalties or charges for commercial use must be negotiated before work begins. I am able to review contract/freelance terms outside of my own terms provided here.
• For any order by private individuals amounting to above 300 USD, financing may be available in up to 3 installments (preliminary, halfway, and final draft).
• A Google form is available when slots are open to the public. Otherwise, please email me (asterartwork@gmail(.)com). Email is preferred. I may not see social media DMs for weeks.
